Prologue

This book is the inspired product of the cumulative experiences I have had in helping thousands of clients achieve emancipation from debt in my law practice. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to help thousands rebuild their lives by receiving much-needed relief from crushing, inescapable debt.

From the very first time that I came into contact with an elderly couple who had spent down their entire retirement savings just keeping the debt cycle going, I knew I had to get this message of hope to many more people than I could reach in one-on-one office interviews.

In that moment I knew that it was my duty one day to disseminate the information in these upcoming pages, which given the right circumstances, could lift the conditions of the indentured debt-servant, by highlighting paths to debt freedom.

Having been in the arena with the predatory lenders as a way of life, I was keenly aware of the psychological barrage that creditors have perpetrated upon debtors over the years.

I empathized with the hopelessness that many persons under the load of debt experienced on a daily basis. I saw how money problems, or the lack of money, came between husbands and wives, and how it divided families. I witnessed how financial dysfunction caused couples to come into my office seeking divorce and bankruptcy counsel at the same time.

This is the reason for this treatise, to open the eyes of many suffering through financial despair and to lift the malaise of monetary despondency currently paralyzing the citizens of this great nation. To help break the restraints of those hopelessly trapped in the cycle of revolving debt, and to light the pathway to a new lease on life.

I reveal no new secret, nor bring any undiscovered breakthrough. This reprieve has been available to all for literally thousands of years. But unfortunately, it has been hidden by the powerful, excoriated by the oppressive, and stigmatized by those who would prefer for it not to be utilized.

Thankfully We The People, despite the many attempts by creditors to snuff it out and extinguish its power from the books of the law, have kept the salvation alive and well.

As you sojourn through these pages, I hope this book brings hope and comfort to you. At the very least I hope it gives you the guidance to pursue a course that will redeem your future, and restore your opportunity to achieve the fleeting American Dream.
